an acronym for Realizing Every Dream), is the fifth studio album by American singer-songwriter Ne-Yo, first released on October 31, 2012, in Japan. The album follows the disappointing commercial performance to 2010's Libra Scale and is Ne-Yo's first album with new label Motown Records after being appointed as the label's senior vice president for A&R. The album contains songs that crossover different genres of music, combining elements of R&B, pop and dance-pop.

American singer and songwriter Ne-Yo has released six studio albums, fifteen singles and several other appearances with other artists. In 2006, Ne-Yo's debut album, In My Own Words, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 in the United States. His second single, "So Sick", reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100; it was also Ne-Yo's first UK number-one single.

Ne-Yo held a listening at Def Jam’s New York headquarters on Wednesday night for his fifth LP, . Realizing Every Dream), and though the 31-year-old R&B singer’s dress code was unusually relaxed – he cheated on his trademark fedora with a laidback camouflage cap – he made sure that the scene was. set for romance. Chocolate-dipped strawberries, red velvet cupcakes, long-stem cherries and scented candles dotted the office space. due out on September 18th) is as sentimental as any Ne-Yo album, but his introspection leads to some of his rawest lyrics yet – a welcome growth after his disappointing 2010 album, Libra Scale.

From the subtly retro-soul of opener Cracks In Mr. Perfect (cleverly tripped-up with self-deprecating lyrics that somehow make him even more charming) to the libidinous tension of the closing dance-pop hit Burning Up, . plays as if the prolific R&B singer-songwriter saved his best songs for this album. And now as Senior Vice President of A&R for Motown, Ne-Yo seems even more driven to make top-shelf recordings.

Ne-Yo told TMZ that he was not seeking to make money off Game's success when choosing the name for his latest offering I don't feel like I ripped off The Game's album. D - Realising Every Dream - did. "It actually wasn't even brought to my attention that that was the name of The Game's last album until I came up with the name.

Ne-Yo opens his fifth studio album, . by revealing a few shortcomings. On the ’60s-soul-influenced Cracks in Mr. Perfect, the singer admits that he spends an obscene amount of money popping bottles in the club, has trouble maintaining relationships because he is surrounded by women, and basically becomes more of an idiot with every extra million I get. After that unflinching look at his personal flaws, Ne-Yo spends the rest of the album unwittingly revealing his professional weaknesses - which also have to do with excess.
