This pleasant, soothed-out set produced by Jack Jezzro features guitar, piano, bass, drums, steel guitar, fiddle, and dobro instrumental versions of country love songs, including hits like I Fall to Pieces and Blue. It goes down pretty easy, but half of a good country song - if not more than that - is in the words, and while I Fall to Pieces has a great and stirring melody that remains in the instrumental version here, one sure does miss the lyrics, and Patsy Cline singing them, for that matter. Maybe that’s the point.
