Cornelis sjunger Povel (English: Cornelis sings Povel) is a music album recorded by the Swedish-Dutch folk singer-songwriter Cornelis Vreeswijk in 1981. It is an homage to composer and lyricist Povel Ramel. Issued as double LP in 1981 titled as "Alla vi har varit små" och "The Gräsänkling blues", it was re-issued on CD in 2007 under title Diamanter. Cornelis Vreeswijk (Swedish pronunciation, Dutch pronunciation ) (8 August 1937 – 12 November 1987) was a Dutch-born Swedish singer-songwriter, poet and actor. He emigrated to Sweden with his parents in 1949 at the age of twelve. He was educated as a social worker and hoped to become a journalist, but became increasingly involved in music, performing at events for students with idiosyncratic humor and social engagement.
