Moving Target is a studio album by American spoken-word poet and blues musician Gil Scott-Heron. The album, released on Arista in 1982, was to be his last for more than a decade. On Moving Target, Scott-Heron and his "Midnight Band" recorded their "typical, tastefully jazzy R&B and funk grooves", though flavored with "more exotic sounds" and influenced by reggae (there are echoes of Bob Marley in some songs).

Nothing New is a posthumous album of vocal & piano recordings by Gil Scott-Heron released by XL Recordings on April 19, 2014 in conjunction with Record Store Day. The album consists of new, stripped-down versions of a selection of older Scott-Heron songs stretching from 1971's "Pieces of a Man" to 1994's "The Other Side". It was recorded with producer Richard Russell between 2005 and 2009, in the same sessions that led to 2011's I'm New Here.

Music on A1 v similar to 6am, by lil Louis - in which Larry heard gets writing credits. I wonder if that's related to the comment above about B2....

Another Bargain to be had here. Of course this is the joy of Discogs, where all tracks are remembered and nothing is forgotten. After standard fair from Gil on the other two mixes a slight of hand was pulled on this version of the space shuttle 12 inches (three were released but only one is listed on Ogs at the time of writing). So we go to the B side of this 12" and the 'Space Shuttle (Deep Club Dub)' mix. This version at the time was super rare because of the sample, almost throughout the whole mix, of 'Mr Fingers - Can You Feel It' and vocal snippets of 'First Choice - Let No Man Put Asunder'. In the shop we could not get this for love or money, eventually finding a solitary copy years later in a bargain bin for 50p (and fighting over it - I won ; ) The problem was the saturation of the other 12"'s and we had to shift through countless copies of them searching for this gem. We suspect this version was withdrawn because of sample clearance, or lack of it. A Deep House Originator.
