The Glow Pt. 2 is the third studio album by American indie rock band The Microphones, released on September 25th, 2001 through K Records. It is considered by many to be The Microphones' definitive work. The Glow" was the title of the fourth track on the band's previous album It Was Hot, We Stayed in the Water. A reissue of the album which included a bonus disc of material was released by K Records in 2008.

Alien in a Bottle book. Without the aliens Sean wouldn't have a hope of entering a glass sculpture in the Hollis Art Fair - and winning a scholarship. That's all Sean really wants in this world. Sean just needs two things - glass and fire. He knows his parents won't help. So when Tagg offers Sean three wishes in exchange for protecting him from Dinn Tauro, how can Sean refuse?

The Glow Pt. 2 is a second wind, a continuation and a step forward from his earlier records, since, as Elverum sings in the first verse, he has forgotten his songs-or rather what they were about and what they meant to him. Phil has gone on record elucidating the track: I was more dramatic back then. I faced death’ is kind of a ridiculous line, considering that I was talking about having my feelings hurt. The idea with the song is that sometimes it is annoying to have to admit to yourself that you are still alive when you’d rather curl up in a ball and be sad and dark. Being annoyed at your.

Alien: Covenant was poised to be one of the biggest hits of the year, but ultimately wound up being a big disappointment at the box office. And, at very best, it was divisive among fans and critics. Given the reaction to Prometheus, Ridley Scott ultimately decided to lean more heavily on the Xenomorph and its origins in Alien: Covenant. However, at one point, the movie was going by Prometheus 2 and, thanks to some newly revealed concept art, we see that it would have been a much different movie had that version gone forward. David is still featured in a piece of this art, but he doesn't appear to be the architect of the famed creature as he ultimately became in the Alien prequel we got. Prometheus 2 looks like it would have leaned very heavily into the first movie and relied a lot less on the iconic imagery of the Alien franchise. The Glow Pt. 2 wasn't conceptualized, then recorded; Elvrum figured out where it was going even as he committed it to tape. He strived to document the esoteric flights of his imagination, and produced appropriately intuitive music: Vocal harmonies blur, disappear, return as ragged organs. Of course, none of the new lyrics clarify the overarching story; they're further snapshots of Elvrum feeling small and serene in a big, scary universe. But these snippets are thrilling for Microphones fans- they reveal a few more glimpses of a distant, haunting world that's all the more alluring for its incompleteness.
