The New Christy Minstrels were formed by singer/guitarist Randy Sparks in 1961. The group's second album The New Christy Minstrels in Person was released in February 1963 (recorded back in September 1962 while Connelly was still in the line-up. The New Christy Minstrels are an American folk music group founded by Randy Sparks in 1961.
