Out From Out Where is the fourth release by Amon Tobin on Ninja Tune. Many of the tracks segue together creating an ongoing feel to the album. I only knew Amon Tobin from his last CD, Supermodified. That CD strangely enough never really appealed to me. It had some very good songs on it, like '4 ton mantis', but the CD on the whole was rather incomprehensible and inaccesible.

Out From Out Where's most dynamic workouts bounce along energetically, completely enamored of themselves; "Verbal" comes close to dopey big beat territory, with vocals from MC Decimal R diced into Prefuse and Chipmunks soundbytes. Tobin's definitely out to have some fun with this record, though the immense density of these soundscapes prevent them from being reduced to chop-shop filler. Unfortunately, he seems less interested in taking you on a journey, as each piece ends in roughly the same place as it begins

Amon Tobin Brazilian-born Amon Tobin first emerged between 1994-1995 with a string of 12" singles on the small London-based record label 9Bar Records. The album that followed, Adventures In Foam, paved the way for a whole generation of electronic productions and prompted his signing to the prodigious Ninja Tune in 1996.
