Elizabeth II is only the second monarch in British history to celebrate a Diamond Jubilee. For the past six decades she has served Britain and the Commonwealth with dedication and self-sacrifice. In this lavishly illustrated book the Queen’s immeasurable contribution to the nation she has been head of since 1952 is fully explored.

Queen Elizabeth Tote Bag Diamond Jubilee 60 Years 1952 - 2012 QE II Royal Family. Queen Elizabeth II : A Diamond Jubilee Souvenir Album by Jane Roberts.

Diamond Jubilee: Diamond Jubilee parade: The Queen watched as 2,500 troops from the Armed Forces paid their tribute to her 60-year reign. We are very proud of the selfless service, and sacrifices made by servicemen and women and their families in recent years. It is very gratifying to celebrate and take pride in successful achievements, but the real test of character is the ability to maintain morale and a positive spirit in bad times as well as when things are going well. Her speech was greeted with three cheers by the servicemen and women, who thrust their caps into the air as they shouted hooray for the person to whom they owe their ultimate allegiance.

It comes in a packaged format that allows the book itself to stay in pristine condition. The photograph collection is extensive and the literay text accompaniment is well written. A must have for the true Royalty Collector.

Whilst HM celebrates those 60 years, there’s a counter argument that mocks, not her, but the institution of monarchy: anachronistic, undemocratic or, as the Guardian’s brilliant cartoonist Steve Bell says, ‘just a bit silly’. I am not going to go back to Ethelred the Unready, and that lot, but I will start with William the Conqueror. Stands are erected on the Mall, near Buckingham Palace, in advance of the Queen's Jubilee celebrations this weekend. England didn’t like that and, lo and behold, back the institution, and the Stuarts, came. The great Victoria, the only other Monarch to celebrate 60 glorious years, was the daughter of George III’s fifth son - but, in the absence of any closer claimant, that was alright.

The Diamond Jubilee Concert. Concert and commemoration concert by Various artists. The Diamond Jubilee Concert followed two concerts held at the palace for the Queen's Golden Jubilee a decade earlier – the classical themed Prom at the Palace and the pop/rock themed Party at the Palace. The concert was partially attended by the Queen, who arrived at 9pm, but not by Prince Philip who had been taken to hospital with a bladder infection earlier in the day. Prince Charles and other members of the royal family attended the whole concert. Happy and Glorious (2012). A Royal Night Out (2015).
