Thomas James "Tommy" Hunter, CM, . nt (born March 20, 1937) is a Canadian country music performer, known as "Canada's Country Gentleman". In 1956, he began performing as a rhythm guitarist on the CBC Television show, Country Hoedown. The Tommy Hunter Show began as a CBC radio program in 1960 and went on to replace Country Hoedown on CBC Television in 1965; Hunter's show was picked up by TNN in 1983 and ran on CBC until 1992.

Tommy Hunter is a country singer and guitarist, born in London, Ontario, Canada, on 10 March 1937. His "The Tommy Hunter Show", appear first on weekdays on CBC radio from 1960-1965, and then became a weekly CBC TV program in 1965. Extended to an hour's length in 1970, it was introduced to US viewers by The Nashville Network in the early 1980s. It was cancelled in 1992. Hunter used "Travellin' Man" as his TV theme song.
