Destiny’s Child’s 2001 hit Bootylicious celebrated the voluptuous woman. The song’s title eventually ended up in the Oxford English Dictionary thanks to the popularity of the song. The song samples Stevie Nicks' Edge of Seventeen and Nicks makes a cameo in the song’s video. This is one of the few Destiny’s Child songs where Kelly Rowland sang most of the lead vocals. Rowland told the Daily Mail in 2008: Some people thought a song like ‘Bootylicious’ was about being sexy, but it was more about having confidence in your own skin.
