Other People's Songs is a cover album by Erasure. The album was originally conceived as a solo project for singer Andy Bell. Once Vince Clarke, the other member of Erasure, became involved, it was released as Erasure's tenth studio album. The tracks were handpicked by Clarke and Bell as ones that influenced them as musicians. It was released in the UK and the . by Mute Records in 2003, and was a Top 20 success in their home country and in Germany.
Other People's Songs shouldn't be missed by fans of those albums or by record-store scavengers unfamiliar with any of the more obscure treasures represented here. 1. Be Not So Fearful.
The series is a way for the band to experiment with different styles outside of their main releases, and this part is no different, with surprising pop features such as Seeb from the single Grip. I’m sure some people see reinterpreting other people’s songs as sacrilege but it’s something people have done forever. I think there’s something brilliant in music that connects with people being able to echo on through time via other people’s interpretations. Going along with the series' name and history, the album also contains four covers of other artists' work.
Thank you baby, thank you babe Darling don't explain, don't explain Thank you baby, thank you babe Darling don't explain, don't explain. We had a love devout without a shred of doubt We never worried 'bout other people You broke the spell and wanted something else Well, now go fuck yourself with other people.
Sing a song of people. Here is a list of English Poems written by various authors. Whatever the question is, poetry may be the answer. Writers say poetry provides them with comfort, a way to express themselves and the discipline of finding the essence with few words.
When people get drunk, they get brave and often forget that they can’t sing at all - not even This Love, which only requires about three notes. Have you ever heard a bunch of drunk white people try to sing Michael Jackson? It sounds like kittens drowning as they gracelessly claw for help. If you’re attending karaoke night, some person will always get super wasted and think they are the second coming of Adele. However, drunk people should be forcibly detained when around Mariah Carey songs. You can’t hit that note, and fetch will never happen. He could be singing about fucking your mother (Gangnam Style!) and you would have no idea.
If you've ever seen Kelly Clarkson in concert, you'll know that she usually takes time during her set to sing a cover - sometimes it's one of he. Over the past couple of years, we've seen videos popping up of the former American Idol star singing gorgeous renditions of everything from Sam Smith's "Stay With Me" to Robyn's "Dancing on My Own" - she even covered Rihanna's saucy "B tch Better Have My Money"!
