Connors, chosen by McAloon to record Megahertz in 1999, is nothing short of sublime on this piece; delivering lines that could be seen as mundane elsewhere now transformed into gripping and poignant.

Paddy McAloon listened to short wave radio programs and sampled them for the album. In 1999, Paddy McAloon, front man of British pop band Prefab Sprout, suffered detachment from both retinas in his eyes in quick succession, possibly due to congenital factors, which needed extensive surgery and left him nearly blind for some time.
