Carbonized is best known for having ties to both Entombed and Therion, but should be viewed on their own merits as a small but vital part of early Swedish extremity. The band found its beginnings in primeval grind and ended its travels with a unique take on surrealist hard rock. In other words, this unit was pretty creative, and took the time to hone their craft. Here, on their first of three full lengths, Security, Carbonized is more conventional (in a loose sense of the word), but also teetering on the edge of significant discoveries

I like their all 3 albums but debut is just the masterpiece of the genre and it shuld be used to define the fundamental unit of grind just like platinum-iridium meter bar defining elementar unit of length. For the Security" is the debut full-length studio album by Swedish death metal act Carbonized. The album was released through Thrash Records in 1991. Carbonized was founded by bassist Lars Rosenberg (Entombed, Serpent) in 1988 and featured, in it�s early incarnation, among others Markus R�d�n (Morpheus), Matti K�rki (Dismember, Carnage, Murder Squad, Therion, General Surgery), Jonas Deroueche (General Surgery) and Richard Cabeza (Dismember, Unanimated, General Surgery). Carbonized was always considered an oddity on the Swedish old school death metal scene of the early 90es and listening to "For the Security" it�s pretty obvious why. While the music on the album is certainly rooted in the contemporary national death metal scene it still sounds alien and quite unique.

Carbonized were a Swedish death metal band formed 1988 in Saltsjöbaden. The band was formed by Lars Rosenberg in 1988, with Dismember vocalist Matti Kärki. Joined by drummer Piotr Wawrzeniuk, the trio was completed by Therion's Christofer Johnsson, who originally agreed to only perform session guitarwork but eventually became a full-time member.
