Some of the songs are a little hit-and-miss for me, but the amount of incredible work featured here more than makes up for that. This is the album that introduced me to General Mumble, and for that it holds a special place in my heart.

General Mumble is the sophomore, 6-track album by General Mumble, back when the alias represented the joint project of (now) Mumble and MD. Although completed sometime in Autumn 2010, it wasn't officially released by itself until November 2015 on the Mumble's Very Old Things Bandcamp page. The album consists of a handful of tracks that were made while learning the basics of FL Studio.

I made some synesthesia based quick doodles of color based on the songs I see. My Dying Bride’s For My Fallen Angel is extremely unique, as I have never seen any song looking like that. Sound of silence is also unique, as the color doesn’t mix but stays in one spot. It’s an entire scenario or atmosphere or mood, just an image in general. So when someone has a birthday, their age changes, then their number changes and that entire image that somehow is an important part of my view of that person changes, as well. It’s like a way to mark years of knowing someone or maybe years of my own life.

Notes

Being my first full-length album with all songs (except one) containing vocals, Synesthesia is an enormous landmark for my music-making journey. It's been in the works on-and-off for nearly two years as of release date, and captures many many emotions good and bad experienced over that time (though some songs are about simpler matters, such as "Wasting My Time", which is about the fact that the album took so long).

The album is my proudest musical achievement to date (perhaps alongside Ariah's "Voyager"), and is one of the biggest achievements of my life so far, and I very much hope you enjoy it.

Synesthesia (also spelled synæsthesia or synaesthesia, from the ancient Greek σύν [syn], "together", and αἴσθησις [aisthēsis], "sensation") is a neurological phenomenon in which stimulation of one sensory or cognitive pathway leads to automatic, involuntary experiences in a second sensory or cognitive pathway. People who report such experiences are known as synesthetes.

I myself am a synesthete. In basic terms, I perceive all numbers and letters with their own colours and location in space. Example: the artwork for this album is a slightly simplified version of how a year looks to me, starting with January at the bottom, and continuing clockwise each month with its own colour (though the shapes used are more refined to keep the artwork tidy). My minds eye is almost always displaying this image, with myself at the corresponding location to whatever time of year it is.
Another form of synesthesia I experience is "chromesthesia", in which sounds are perceived as colours and/or shapes such as colourful waveforms or other abstract geometries.
