The More Things Change. is the second studio album by heavy metal band Machine Head, released on March 26, 1997 through Roadrunner Records. It is the band's last release to feature original lead guitarist Logan Mader, and the first to feature drummer Dave McClain. The album's title alludes to the first part of the phrase, "The more things change, the more they stay the same"; the same phrase is mentioned during the chorus of "Struck a Nerve".

Machine Head's The More Things Change turns 20 and Worship Metal reflects on what seems to be MH's 'forgotten' album! . Maybe the problem was that The More Things Change came in the wake of Burn My Eyes – easily one of the definitive metal albums of the 1990’s – and the question the band was left facing was how do you follow up an album as instantly iconic as their debut? The answer was by not messing around with what was obviously a winning formula! The only noticeable difference was the recruitment of ex Sacred Reich drum maestro, Dave McClain. Apart from that, things pretty much stayed as they were with Colin Richardson, who they obviously felt comfortable with, back in the producers chair

We'll have things fixed soon. Yeah, this one's for the mama that I never knew (Never knew) I took acid just to burn all of my memories of you I guess now I really wanna know the truth How'd you leave your only child at nine for another dude? Took that pain and punched my father in the stomach 'til he bled Hit the store and stole . 0 and took that shit to the head All the years that you ignore me left me sleepless in the bed I hope daddy got some kids 'cause your only son is dead My revenge, got it in the end (In the end).

What looks like the final Machine Head album for this line-up, Catharsis is something of a mixed bag. Much was made of the Robb's misjudged folk song Bastards, using various slurs to try and reclaim them in his new woke form, instead coming across as a cringey mess. The record is bloated and outstays its welcome at 15 tracks and over 70 minutes in length, but there is the odd diamond in the rough – all limited to the first half of the record. 7) Unto The Locust (2011). The More Things Chang. s 10 songs all scoring a 10 out of 10. Casual fans are welcome to tread the party line, but this is Machine Head’s ultimate artistic achievement. Metal Hammer Newsletter.

Probably my least favourite MH album but I still like i. 4 years назад. ביד נ. You Surely Did Invent The Wheel. Your Music Reminds Me My True Self. Love Rob!!!! 4 years назад. Camilo P. machine head had "nu metal" elements before nu metal really blew up. so when it did, it was only natural they fit the mold. I don't hate The More Things Change, but I do think certain songs are forgettable on it. If every song had the quality like Ten ton Hammer, Take My Scars, Bay of Pigs, Blistering, (and) Blood of the Zodiac it would be much, much better. Still is a good album, though, don't get me wrong.
