A Groovy Kind of Love" is a song written by Toni Wine and Carole Bayer Sager and published by the Screen Gems music publishing company. The song has been recorded by numerous artists, with the Mindbenders and Phil Collins releasing very successful versions. A Groovy Kind of Love" was written when Bayer Sager was a 22-year-old schoolteacher, and Wine was a 17-year-old high school student.

A Groovy Kind of Love" is a pop song written by Toni Wine and Carole Bayer Sager and published by the Screen Gems music publishing company. It is heavily based on the Rondo movement of Sonatina in G major, op. 36 no. 5, by Muzio Clementi. The song was released first by Diane & Annita in 1965, and several covers have since appeared on worldwide music charts. The song title was an early use of the then-new slang word "groovy". They liked the result so much that they included the song on their first album The Mindbenders (US title "A Groovy Kind of Love") and released the song to radio as their debut single. It reached in the UK the week of January 19–26, 1966 and it also hit in the United States on the Billboard Hot 100 for 2 weeks in late May and early June 1966.

I love you I love you I love you it's true When I'm feeling blue All I have to do Is take a look at you And then I'm not so blue When I'm in your arms Nothing seems to matter If the whole world could shatter I don't care. Wouldn't you agree Baby you and me We got a groovy kind of love We got a groovy kind of love. About A Groovy Kind of Love. Written by Toni Wine and Carole Bayer Sager. Album The Mindbenders. The Mindbenders - A Groovy Kind of Love Songtext. When I'm feelin' blue, all I have to do, Is take a look at you, then I'm not so blue, When you're close to me, I can feel your heartbeat, I can hear you breathing in my ear, Wouldn't you agree, baby you and me got a groovy kind of love. Anytime you want to, you can turn me on to, Anything you want to, anytime at all, When I taste your lips, oh I start to shiver, Can't control the quivering inside, Wouldn't you agree, baby you and me got a groovy kind of love. 06 A Groovy Kind of Love. 07 Little Nightingale. 08 Don't Cry No More. 09 You Don't Know About Love.

Groovy Kind of Love" was a British hit in February 1966-at least 5 months before Simon and Garfunkel's Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme album (with "The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feeling Groovy)" on it) was released. Saff from Melbourne, AustraliaIt's actually the other way around. It was Wayne Fontana and the Mindbenders until Wayne walked off stage in the middle of a concert. After that they changed it just to the Mindbenders and A Groovy Kind of Love was their first hit under this name. And Eric Stewart was the lead singer on the song
