Ektroverde is an offshoot of Circle, the musicians change as constantly as the ideas expressed musically in this band. An eclectic combination of krautrock, post-rock, space rock and free-form jazz, Ektroverde is marked by it's long, hypnotic jams and it's use of homemade electronica - the UFOX air humidifier theremin, vacuum cleaner synth, breadbox guitar amp, and a collection of modular oscillators and such.

A broken chord is a chord broken into a sequence of notes. A broken chord may repeat some of the notes from the chord and span one or more octaves. An arpeggio may also span more than one octave. The word arpeggio comes from the Italian word arpeggiare, which means to play on a harp.

All focus on repetition as a key ingredient, and yet the variation from album to album is often startling. Throughout the band's ever-shifting line-up, Lehtisalo has been the only constant presence, and de facto leader. The current core line-up of the band – Mika Rättö, Janne Westerlund, Tomi Leppänen and Lehtisalo – is the longest consistent incarnation of the group, and although their output has slowed down since the mid-00s (the band released 7 albums in 2007 alone!)
