Bless the Beasts and Children" is the theme song to the 1971 eponymous film and was performed by the Carpenters. It was featured on the B-side to their hit, "Superstar". It was nominated for a 1972 Academy Award for Best Song, but it lost to Isaac Hayes' "Theme from Shaft".

This is a wonderful album. We had it on cassette when the kids were small and we all loved it. There was never a trip of any length where we did not listen to it and sing along. My children still talk about and remember all of the words, Now that my kids in the car have been replaced by grand kids and there are no longer any cassette players it was time to replace the old copy. They have only heard it a couple of times and are already singing along with the cassette (and grandpa).

Talk about Don Cooper - Bless The Children

Don Cooper on Roulette is a very enjoyable time with plenty enough soul. It sounds to me like Bernard Purdie is on drums.
