As always, the originals are the best but this really is a fine selection of excellent cover versions. Occasionally quite different, mostly acoustic or semi acoustic, these work consistently well. A really amazing set of studio cover versions. Check out the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge series as well if you like offbeat and interesting cover versions of songs. Really good album with some interesting covers. The stand out track is James Blunt's cover of Elton John's "I guess that's why they call it the blues" - stripped right back to its bare core. Worth getting the album for this track alone.
