The 15 songs here are virtually all worthwhile listening, and not just for '50s R&B fanatics - if you like Smokey Robinson & the Miracles, this is also a disc worth owning. The originals, including "Sweetness" and "My Girl Awaits Me," are extraordinarily beautiful compositions and recordings, and even the covers of standards like "Over the Rainbow" are worthwhile. Heavenly Father" is worth the price of the CD by itself, and Donn Fileti's notes answer lots of questions about the history of the group and its members.

Castles is the fourth studio album by American singer-songwriter Lissie. It was released worldwide on March 23, 2018 through Cooking Vinyl. From the record four singles have been released with "Boyfriend" serving as the lead single with "Blood & Muscle" being released as the second single. Best Days" was released as the third single with "Love Blows" following as the fourth. The album currently holds a score of 76 on Metacritic indicating positive reception.

Based on interviews with George Grant and Frank Vance. The Castelles story goes back to around 1949, and the choir at Sulzberger Junior High School in West Philadelphia. Overseen by Miss Joy Goings, it was your average, everyday choir, containing, among others, George Grant (Castelles), Billy Taylor (Castelles), Octavius Anthony (Castelles), Sonny Gordon (Angels), George Tindley (Dreams), George Pounds (Cherokees), Karl English (Cherokees), Melvin Story (Cherokees), and Solomon Burke. Billy came back with "Wonder Why", and Octavius wrote "Sweetness" and "Baby Can't You See". George's contributions were "It's Christmas Time" and "Do You Remember" (which he wrote during a study period, and had originally titled "Do You Recall?")
