The Glenn Miller Orchestra is a band formed after the loss of Glenn Miller, named in memory of him and the original Glenn Miller Orchestra. After the disappearance of Glenn Miller in 1944, the band was reconstituted under the direction of Tex Beneke, its lead tenor saxophonist, singer, and one of Miller's longtime close friends.

Glenn Miller is a compilation album of phonograph records released posthumously by bandleader Glenn Miller and His Orchestra. Released in 1945 on RCA Victor as a part of the Victor Musical Smart Set series, described on the front cover as "An Album of Outstanding Arrangements on Victor Records", the set was number one for a total of 16 weeks on the newly created Billboard album charts.
In 1942, Glenn Miller joined the United States Army Air Forces and was commissioned as a captain as well as being appointed as the branch's band director. Miller jettisoned most of his civilian band's musical library. ven the famous Miller sound exemplified in 'Moonlight Serenade' was only heard occasionally from the AEF Band.
Glenn Miller Army Air Force Band Everybody Loves My Baby. Glenn Miller Glenn Miller & The Army Air Force Band Juke Box Saturday Night. Glenn Miller Song Of The Volga Boatman. Glenn Miller Army Air Force Band In An Eighteenth Century Drawing Room. Glenn Miller & The Army Force Band Mission to Moscow. Glenn Miller Army Air Force Band Tail End Charlie. Glenn Miller Army Air Force Band Victory Polka.
The air force bang wasn 't quite the same as the popular Miller band, but good music anyway. Up to expectation, and the modern recording techniques do justice to the original recordings.
Major Glenn Miller & Army Air Force Band. Author/Artist: Miller, Glenn. Condition: Very Good. I'm not sure what exactly happened to the cover, but as you can see in the pictures the corners and a side has been torn. However, the record itself is fine. The Centennial Collection by Glenn Miller (CD, Apr-2004, Bluebird RCA (USA)).
