Aspera Hiems Symfonia (Latin for "Harsh Winter's Symphony") is the debut studio album by the Norwegian avant-garde metal band Arcturus. Aspera is the only black metal album Arcturus released, though it still contains many of the experimental elements that would be expanded upon on their following albums, which saw the band shift permanently into the genres of avant-garde and progressive metal.

Aspera Heims on/My Angel" is a compilation album by Norwegian symphonic black metal act Arcturus. It was released through Candlelight Records in June 2002 and features of a re-mastered version of Arcturus debut album "Aspera Heims Symfonia (1996)", the "Constellation (1994)" EP, the "My Angel (1992)" EP/single, and two previously unreleased tracks in "The Deep Is the Skies" and "Cosmojam"

Always a great album, this Reissue makes it even better with a remaster and the addition of some promo tracks, demos, and the My Angel EP. The remastering was a great job, you can definitely hear all the instruments and voices fully for the first time and it still has that "middle of the road" production necessary for the true black metal experience.
