Album Tragic Kingdom. Tragic Kingdom Lyrics. Remain seated, please. Permanecer sentados, por favor". Once was a magical place, over time it was lost Price increased the cost Now the fortune of the kingdom Is locked up in its dungeon vaults The castle floor lies in traps with coiled wires set back Decoyed by old cheese Now the drawbridge has been lifted As the millions, they drop to their knees. The cold wind blows as it snows on those who fight to get in On heads that are small Disillusioned as they enter They're unaware what's behind castle walls But now it's written in stone, the king has been overthrown By jesterly fools And the power of the people Shall come to believe they do rule.
No Doubt is the house that Tragic Kingdom built. Stacked with decade-defining hits – ‘Spiderwebs’, ‘Sunday Morning’ and, of course, the untouchable ‘Don’t Speak’ – the album became a cultural phenomenon and sold more than 20 million copies worldwide; not bad for just a girl and her friends from Orange County
Thanks to Tragic Kingdom, No Doubt became one of the era’s biggest bands, and two decades later, it still tours and records when the mood strikes. Gwen, meanwhile, is a bona fide solo star and beloved TV figure, thanks to The Voice. The group hasn’t released an album since 2012’s somewhat disappointing Push and Shove, but this past August brought news that Gwen is divorcing husband Gavin Rossdale after nearly 13 years of marriage, so should the gang regroup, she’ll have plenty of fodder for her songwriting.
Tragic Kingdom" - No Doubt. The Great Southern Trendkill (Album).
Led by the infectious, pseudo-new wave single "Just a Girl," No Doubt's major-label debut, Tragic Kingdom, straddles the line between '90s punk, third-wave ska, and pop sensibility. The record was produced by Matthew Wilder, the auteur behind "Break My Stride" - a clever mainstream co-opting of new wave quirkiness, and, as such, an ideal pairing.
