Making The Voyager got me through one of the most difficult periods of my life, Lewis said in a statement. After Rilo Kiley broke up and a few really intense personal things happened, I completely melted down. It nearly destroyed me. I had such severe insomnia that, at one point, I didn’t sleep for five straight nights. The Voyager tells that story: the longest night of my life and the journey to finally getting some rest. Lewis’ current tour runs through the beginning of August and includes stops at the Newport Folk Festival, Lollapalooza, Outside Lands and the Austin City Limits fests. The Voyager message is carried by a phonograph record, a 12-inch gold-plated copper disk containing sounds and images selected to portray the diversity of life and culture on Earth

On a cobweb afternoon in a room full of emptiness By a freeway, I confess I was lost in the pages Of a book full of death, reading how we'll die alone And if we're good, we'll lay to rest anywhere we want to go. In your house, I long to be Room by room, patiently I'll wait for you there, like a stone I'll wait for you there, alone. In your house, I long to be Room by room, patiently I'll wait for you there, like a stone I'll wait for you there, alone, alone. And on I read, until the day was gone And I sat in regret of all the things I've done For all that I've blessed, and all that I've wronged In dreams until my death, I will wander on.

The Stone is the first album by Babble, an electronic dance music group that was composed of Tom Bailey, Alannah Currie (formerly of the Thompson Twins), and Keith Fernley. The group changed its name as it changed the outward appearance of its sound, from pop to dub-influenced chill-out. The underlying melodies and the familiar voices of Bailey and Currie still gave a Thompson Twins tone.
