Black Rain is the tenth studio album by British heavy metal vocalist Ozzy Osbourne, released 22 May 2007 on Epic Records. It is Ozzy's last album to feature Zakk Wylde and Mike Bordin, and the first to feature bassist Rob Nicholson. Black Rain debuted at No. 3 on the US Billboard 200, selling about 152,000 copies in its first week; making it Osbourne's highest debut to date. As of 29 September 2007, the album had sold 406,053 copies in the US, and had been certified Gold.

On Black Rain, Ozzy's latest album, Wylde is prominent, giving the album a more BLS feel than previous. Most of it is heavy, almost doomy riffing couple with some great soloing but let's be honest, its Zakk Wylde, the man does little else. The Almighty Dollar' is driven along by an excellent bulldozing riff, and single 'I Don't Wanna Stop' is both catchy and heavy as hell. It's solidly uninspiring, something you don't really want to hear about an album by a legend of the heavy metal scene. It's enjoyable enough to listen to through, a few tracks may bring you back to it but nothing to call it a classic. Ozzy is now faced with a choice it seems: retire gracefully now and leave us with good memories or continue to sully his legacy with average records like this.

Black Rain was released just a year and half before Ozzy's 60th birthday, and he does sound like a veteran - he can't wail like he used to, opting for a lower-register growl, but perhaps the biggest indication that he's getting on in years is that he doesn't rock as hard as he once did. Sure, longtime axeman Zakk Wylde is here playing some mean guitar, but this isn't as heavy as he was even a decade ago, lacking both the gut-level punch and monster riffs of even his post-Randy Rhoads work.
