Joshua Redman is a 1993 album by American jazz saxophonist Joshua Redman. This is his debut studio album as a leader. The album was recorded at Skyline Studios, NYC on September 15, 1992. Track 3 was recorded live to Two-Track at Power Station, NYC on June 4, 1992. Track 6 was recorded live to Two-Track at Power Station, NYC on Ma 27, 1992. Blues on Sunday" (Joshua Redman). Founded by tor Joshua WF Thomson last year, the Hong Kong-based Platinum Metres project was set up as a platform to produce and promote curated works from unique global talents in a multitude of creative disciplines, including music, art and literature. With the tagline, 'Music and intimacy in a digital age', Thomson perfectly captures what he has set out to achieve with the project. In his own words Thomson describes Platinum Metres as being directly inspired by the 1977 NASA mission, in which two gold-plated phonograph records were send into space in an attempt.

Five years in the making, and featuring contributions from dozens of musicians and artists around the globe, Platinum Metres is Joshua WF Thomson’s eagerly awaited debut album on his eponymously titled Platinum Metres label. In 1977 NASA sent two gold-plated phonograph records containing images and audio into space.

In 1977, Nasa fired a gold record into space, onboard the Voyager space probe. Here, Joshua WF Thomson introduces his audio-visual project, Platinum Metres, a modern-day love letter to that golden vinyl. A digitised version of the project will be sent into space onboard a nano-satellite on 5 August, transmitting a poem that will show how positive life is on planet Earth. Joshua WF Thomson is the man behind both the record and label of the same name - Hong Kong's first vinyl-only music company. And as the message indicates, Thomson's concerns stretch beyond more than just music. The British musician and producer studied painting at the Royal College of Art in London before working as curator of a large contemporary public art space in Northampton. There was very little cultural provision in the area," he recalls. Few of the residents had been to a contemporary art space and were highly suspicious
