Various ‎– The New Gladiators. Label: Epic ‎– 19399. This is probably the first Heavy Metal album I was exposed in my life & it was quite intense back in the day. Curiously most of the bands remain relatively known to obscure, even though their quality its quite remarkable for the NWOBHM standard. This breakpoint compilation offers a selection of very rude, sometimes awkwardly wild Heavy Metal that serves as advent of the forthcoming Speed and Thrash Metal offspring.

The Gladiators are a Jamaican roots reggae band, most popular during the 1970s. The core was Albert Griffiths (guitarist and singer), Clinton Fearon (bassist and singer) and Gallimore Sutherland rhythm guitar and singer. The album did worse than their previous work, and they were subsequently dropped from their contract with Virgin At the time, roots reggae was declining. One of the reasons for ragga's swift propagation is that it is generally easier, and less expensive to produce, than reggae performed on traditional musical instruments.
