Bach: The Goldberg Variations is the 1955 debut album of Canadian classical pianist Glenn Gould. An interpretation of Johann Sebastian Bach's Goldberg Variations (BWV 988), the work launched Gould's career as a renowned international pianist, and became one of the most well-known piano recordings. Sales were "astonishing" for a classical album: it was reported to have sold 40,000 copies by 1960, and had sold more than 100,000 by the time of Gould's death in 1982.

Glenn Gould: My mother tells me that by five years old I had decided definitively to become a concert pianist. I think she had decided some time earlier. A collection of vignettes highlighting different aspects of the life, work, and character of the acclaimed Canadian classical pianist Glenn Gould. I had heard of Glenn Gould, but I don't really know who he is. I'm not the sort of person who spends a lot of time listening to concert pianists or classical music. Sometimes I wish that was me, but it just is not.
