Duane Eddy (born April 26, 1938) is an American guitarist. In the late 1950s and early 1960s, he had a string of hit records produced by Lee Hazlewood which were noted for their characteristically "twangy" sound, including "Rebel Rouser", "Peter Gunn", and "Because They're Young". He had sold 12 million records by 1963. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994, and the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum in 2008.

It has 12 of his 15 Top 40 hits, all from the 1958-61 Jamie era, as well as the influential "Movin' N' Groovin'" and some other decent tracks.

Duane Eddy is the original rock 'n' roll guitar hero. His 1950s guitar instrumentals like Rebel Rouser and Forty Miles Of Bad Road inspired countless kids to start playing the guitar, and many of rock music's icons list him as a major influence. His style is instantly recognizable, a bold statement of tone and attitude, a Spaghetti Western movie set to music. It is virtually impossible to overstate Duane's influence in the history of the electric guitar
