Sandy is the second solo album by British folk rock musician Sandy Denny. The album was released in 1972 and begun just a fortnight after her UK tour promoting her debut solo album, The North Star Grassman and the Ravens, ended in early November 1971.

Sandy or Sandy Stevens (née Sandy Stevenson) is a British singer. Also known as. Sandy Stevens. Later, she appeared on the French music scene as Sandy Stevens or just Sandy in 1988, with her single "J'ai faim de toi", from the album Histoires d'amour. The song was composed by Pascal Stive and Anne Moustrou, and produced by Marc Miller. The song, originally intended for a TV advert for yoghurt, was released in May 1988 and topped the Top 50 (French SNEP Singles Chart) for two weeks, from 2 to 9 July 1988. The single was certified Gold disc by the SNEP and remained one of the biggest hit of 1988.

Frankie Stevens was born Francis Donald McKechnie Stevenson in Wellington, New Zealand in 1950. His mother was Maori, and his father Scottish. He has 10 brothers and sisters. One of his younger brothers is Jon Stevens, who has also had a very successful career in his own right. In 1970 Frankie married his childhood sweetheart Margaret. They have two children, Amanda and Taryn.
