Marcos Kostenbader Valle (born 14 September 1943) is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and record producer. He has produced works in many musical styles, including bossa nova, samba, and fusions of rock, soul, jazz, and dance music with Brazilian styles

Nova Bossa Nova, sees Marcos develop a new funkier sound which brings bossa bouncing back into the Nineties. It captures the spirit of his early recordings with tunes like Frieo Aerodynamico, through to the title track Nova Bossa Nova, a tale of modern day life and love. Other gems; include Bar Ingles an instrumental jazz-fusion looper with programmed beats and A Vontade de Rever Voce a beautiful love ballad. The album is a panoramic view of a career, which was so fundamental in defining the standard of bossa back in the Sixties

Up until Nova Bossa Nova, Marcos Valle hadn’t released an album for well over a decade. After 1983, he resented the way the music industry had changed with commercialisation and new demands curtailing his creative freedom. This was until 1994 when Marcos met Far Out boss Joe Davis and they recorded a track for Far Out’s first Friends From Rio album. This new collaborative partnership resulted in a new solo album, which commenced recording in 1996.

Much more than his superstar Brazilian contemporaries (Gilberto Gil, Caetano Veloso), Valle is up on current trends in the dance community. The production is crunchy and indebted to acid jazz (with even a drum 'n' bass breakbeat or two), while the title track and "Bahia Blue" are just as slick and well-produced as his '80s material.
