Zen Hanami - Reflection 2' is literally the reflection of ‘Zen Hanami – Volume 3 & 4‘, with all 10 songs in specially re-arranged and re-mixed short versions of the original tracks.
Each Zen Hanami album is based on a specific theme: while ‘Volume 3‘ is taking the listener out into a moonlit night - full of atmospheric sounds and unknown spheres, ‘Volume 4‘ dives into the sea to meet beautiful and mythical creatures of the oceans. Zen Hanami - Reflection 2 is literally the reflection of ‘Zen Hanami – Volume 3 + 4‘. This album contains all 10 songs in specially re-arranged and re-mixed short versions of the original tracks.

Hanami (花見, "flower viewing") is the Japanese traditional custom of enjoying the transient beauty of flowers; flowers ("hana") are in this case almost always referring to those of the cherry ("sakura") or, less frequently, plum ("ume") trees. From the end of March to early May, cherry trees bloom all over Japan, and around the first of February on the island of Okinawa.

Zen Hanami is a project of Ingo Ito (Camouflage/Rain On Bamboo). Influenced by musicians like Brian Eno or Harold Budd, this series of ambient music is specifically composed and produced for those listeners, who want to create for themselves an atmosphere of tranquillity - ideal for contemplation and meditation or just for relaxing from the daily rush.The Japanese word ‘Hanami‘ literally means ‘flower viewing‘. Since many centuries it has been the traditional custom of enjoying the beauty of flowers in nature, mainly during the cherry blossom season.
An ocean of blossoms, gently moving in the spring wind - a beautiful picture to accompany the music of Zen Hanami.
In Zen Hanami, each piece of music is sculptured by some distinctive musical loops playing in harmony. A pool of sound - repeated like an endless mantra. But with each loop having its individual length, it is a constantly changing soundscape - it seems the same, but it´s always different.
While each album in the 'Volume' series is based on a specific theme and each track has a predefined duration of 15 minutes to accompany (for example) the listener's lessons of practicing Tai Chi, Yoga or Meditation, the albums in the 'Reflection' series contain shorter versions of the songs from specific 'Volume' albums for everyday listening.
