Only True Believers is a very solid album and well worth checking out. Everything has improved from The Final War Approaching, from the production job to the songwriting itself. While the Darkthrone influences are still easily detected, the band did something very important that they failed to do the first time around: they infused their tribute with a few original ideas and ended up with a much more impressive record for their efforts. I can only wonder whether A. and Graav were/are aware of how their music with ARMAGEDDA affects not just the mood but even the bodily state of the listener! True Black Metal is meant to be a negative form of music not just on the surface, but also in its utmost depths. And it’s in the depths of my being that the perfect TBM of “Only true Believers” strikes me!

Only True Believers was recorded in Necromorbus Studio during March 2003. All tunes & words between the past years of 2001 & 2002 except for "Night of the Triumphator". -- "Domedagens Triumf" originally appeared on the "Tormenting Legends Part I" compilation. Only True Believers is Armagedda's second full length album and in my eyes, also their crowning achievement. ever! And that's saying something, especially when you consider the incredible amount of Black Metal albums that are churned out year after year, half of which can be described as "average" or "okayish" at best in comparison. Not a second of this album is wasted on pretentious irregular rhythms, cheesy keyboard interludes or spoken word passages. Only True Believers is 40 minutes of non-stop Black Metal to the bone, and because of this some may consider the album's outro, "Night Of The Triumphator", which is actually a Satyricon cover, as a minor waste of time or even anti-climatic.
