When the Red, Red Robin (Comes Bob, Bob, Bobbin' Along)" was a 1926 popular song written, both words and music, by Harry Woods. The song became the signature song for singer and actress Lillian Roth, who performed it often during the height of her musical career from the late 1920s to the late 1930s. The song was a hit in 1926 for: "Whispering" Jack Smith; Cliff Edwards; Paul Whiteman; and the band the Ipana Troubadors (vocal by Franklyn Baur)

Dan Mitchell is a guitarist in Abilene, Texas with 295 songs and 1,506,467 views on Fandalism. Although introduced by Red McKenzie and His Orchestra in October 1931, it first became a hit when singer Russ Columbo performed it with Leonard Joy’s Orchestra in 1932. It charted again the same year in a version by Ben Selvin and His Orchestra and has been recorded often since.

Red Robin is a name that has been used by several fictional superheroes appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. In current DC Comics continuity, Red Robin is Tim Drake (under the alias of Tim Wayne). Tim Drake was the third Robin before assuming the Red Robin persona. In the future timeline of the 1996 miniseries Kingdom Come, a middle-aged Dick Grayson reclaims the Robin mantle and becomes Red Robin. His uniform is closer to Batman's in design than any previous Robin uniform
