you've made a very nice cd indeed. It has all different kinds of beats, vocals and samples. You not only manage to keep the listener interested, but also keep the songs fresh and innovative. Each track is almost alarmingly different from the others. This is the 1999 release - Mr. Scruff's Keep it Unreal. I remember in 99', Keep a Move on was big in the cafe's, etc. Heck, my first exposure to the cut was on a Hotel Costes cd.

Complete your Mr. Scruff collection. 'Mr Scruff - Get A Move On'' should be named ''Moondog - Lament I, Bird's Lament (Mr Scruff Mix)'' because Scruff just added 4/4kick+bassline (and some sampled shout) into it. Also ''Honeydew'' is just slowed down ''Spanky Wilson - Love Song'' with some additional rhythm. And that's the reason why other tracks on the album are weaker.

Thanks to imaginative programming on tracks like the single "Honeydew," Keep It Unreal is yet another accomplished work by breakbeat maestro Mr. Scruff. The vibes definitely triumph over any progression on these tracks, but the album's diverse moods and tempos work magic. The galloping gait and what sounds like a Louis Jordan sample power "Get a Move On," while the next track, "Midnight Feast," has the late-night feel of a Portishead single
