Complete your Joe Quijano collection. The celebrated salsa musician Larry Harlow also comes from a non-latin Jewish family. One may pass this as a novelty record, but it's in fact very much in tune of the mid 60's mixup of the different cultures. It's a very positive record and every track has its own character, not a dull moment there.

One of secret my favourites. I have always liked the original musical piece and this latin arrangement of the score (stripped out of the lyrics, naturally) works surprisingly well. The marriage of Latin & Jewish music is no strange combination, since US latin bands were often hired to play at Jewish parties, bar mitzvah's etc. Even the producer of this record, well known composer and pianist (of Polish/Jewish descent), co-writer of Killing Me Softly among his merits: Charles Fox led his own latin band "Charles Fox Y Su Charanga" back in the early 60's

Listening to the Fiddler on the Roof soundtrack on vinyl is a moving experience. Fiddler on the Roof is a musical set in Russia in 1905. Based on tales written by Sholem Aleichem, Fiddler on the Roof first opened on Broadway in 1964 and was acclaimed by the critics not only because of its premise but because of the wonderful songs.
