Devil Inside" is a song by Australian band INXS. The song was written by Andrew Farriss and Michael Hutchence and is one of INXS's best known songs. It was released as a single in February 1988. The song was most successful in the US, going to on the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks, held out of the top spot by a combination of "Get Outta My Dreams, Get into My Car" by Billy Ocean and "Where Do Broken Hearts Go" by Whitney Houston.

INXS is Australian rock band INXS's first album. It was released on Deluxe Records in Australia on 13 October 1980. The band recorded the album in midnight to dawn sessions during 1979 to 1980 after performing, on average, two gigs a day at local pubs around Sydney.

Devil Inside," perhaps the signature song of INXS, was written by drummer Andrew Farriss and lead singer Michael Hutchence. It peaked on the charts and received heavy airplay in 1988, after being released on their 1987 album Kick. The video to this song was filmed in Balboa, California, a ritzy part of Newport Beach. Viewers of the video will express no surprise at the fact that it was directed by Joel Schumacher, better known as The Man Who Ruined The Batman Franchise Forever with 1997's Batman & Robin. Surprising considering a song like this, INXS's first manager, Gary Morris, originally wanted them to become a Christian band.

The Devil inside " was a song that pushed boundaries at the time. INXS was a semi-pop band then lol, They scared the shit out of religious people back then because it was a common thing to be scared of things that was considered anti-religious at that time. She smiled and said "Good taste! But the new album is coming out next week, and it's going to be really good. I had her get me "Listen Like Thieves" anyway and told her I'd be back next week for the new one. "Kick" was just insanely popular. Such a tight and perfect album. It did have a feeling of being a hit machine album. Like "Thriller" or "Hysteria". Drop an album with perfect production, and 3/4 of the songs being top 10 material. Great time to be young.
