A Night at the Opera is the fourth studio album by the British rock band Queen, released on 21 November 1975 by EMI Records in the United Kingdom and by Elektra Records in the United States. Produced by Roy Thomas Baker and Queen, it was reportedly the most expensive album ever recorded at the time of its release. The album's title is taken from the Marx Brothers film of the same name.
A Night At The Opera, as we all now know, is a masterpiece. Everything from its title (borrowed from The Marx Brothers 1935 movie) to the music, the album’s artwork and the whole pomp and circumstance of the entire package is majestic. Work on Queen’s fourth album, another co-produced by the band along with Roy Thomas Baker, began in August 1975, and it was only finished shortly before the opening date of their tour at Liverpool’s Empire Theatre on 14 November. A Night At The Opera, as we all now know, is a masterpiece
Notably, it was the gold that established the basis for Opera having been given a go. The band dealt with the bad deal directly, and the remaining wounds seemed to have been healed by their passionate work for their art’s sake in the studio, with many thanks to a new manager, LoneRanger (who was also Elton John’s). The follow-up, A Night at the Opera’s sister-album,, made it a Marx Brothers titular pairing.

A Night At The Opera is a music studio album recording by QUEEN (Prog Related/Progressive Rock) released in 1975 on cd, lp, vinyl and/or cassette.
Of course, A Night at the Opera was also the title of a Marx Brothers movie, and the reference isn't lost on Queen, who seldom scaled the heights of pomprock without a knowing wink. The album is remembered for its meticulously produced bombast, but the truth is that there's a wide variety of material here, from the gorgeous piano-based "You're My Best Friend" and the McCartneyesque "39" to the music-hall-style "Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon" and the pedal-to-the-metal rockers "Death on Two Legs" and "I'm in Love with.
With the luxury of considering Queen's entire career in hindsight, there's little doubt that A Night at the Opera is the group's ultimate tour de force )," then just as much campy mirth into the silly (but oh-so detailed in construction) "Lazing on a Sunday Afternoon" and "Seaside Rendezvous," and culminating.
