Rhubarb were an Australian rock band, best known for their song "Exerciser", released in 1999. They disbanded in 2006. Rhubarb were formed in Brisbane in 1996 by brothers Steve and David Drinkall with their Brazilian cousin Paul Harvey playing bass and Ian Buchanan on drums. The group were discovered when they won the Triple J Unearthed competition for Brisbane with their song, "Zero", in 1999

After releasing a couple singles and the excellent Edwyn Collins/Seb Lewsley-produced debut album Clarietta, Charlie Boyer & the Voyeurs dropped the first part of their name and tightened up their sound considerably. So much so in fact that their second album, Rhubarb Rhubarb, sounds like a condensed and shrunken version of their first. The live and slightly rough sound Collins and Lewsley got is gone, replaced by a smoother, more focused approach.

Alongside this shortened name comes widened perspective. The band's second album takes in the rail networks of Eastern Europe and a transvestite bar in Limehouse in East London.
