The album consisted of slightly longer versions of S-Express's "Theme" and its follow-up hits "Superfly Guy" (UK and "Hey Music Lover" (UK along with an album's worth of new compositions. Singer Billie Ray Martin also appeared on several tracks on its debut. By the release of the second album Intercourse, the act was reduced to a duo of Moore with new vocalist and DJ Sonique.

As per the 12" version of "Theme from S'Express", this longer mix of "Superfly guy" includes a couple of pervy samples around the middle section. It ends with a sample of a Texas radio broadcast - . in't nothing going on" and is a work of genius. Lollypop", on the b-side, is based around a repeated sample of a voice saying "suck it", which is juxtaposed against various sampled "replies" such as "no thank you" or "okay, I will"

Original Soundtrack is the debut album by English dance music act S'Express, released in 1989. It was predominantly written and produced by Mark Moore along with Mark McGuire. Pascal Gabriel co-produced the album's two biggest hits, "Theme from S'Express" and "Superfly Guy". The album charted well in the UK, reaching number five on the UK Albums Chart, and was also received well on the US dance chart. The album was certified gold in the UK by the British Phonographic Industry.

S'Express (pronounced ess-express; sometimes spelled S'Xpress or S-Express; otherwise known as Victim Of the Ghetto) were a British dance music act from the late 1980s who had one of the earliest commercial successes in the acid house genre.

Superfly Guy. "This was done at the same time as Theme From S'Express. Me and Pascal just carried on and made this. Again, Billie Ray Martin on vocals, as well as Eric Robinson. He was a guy I'd seen around clubland for quite a few years. He was a child prodigy who was snapped up by Motown when he was about 14. He wrote with Diana Ross.
