Steal This Album is the third studio album by American hip hop duo The Coup. It was released on Dogday Records on November 10, 1998. It peaked at number 37 on the Billboard Heatseekers Albums chart, as well as number 51 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. In 2015, Fact placed it at number 13 on the "100 Best Indie Hip-Hop Records of All Time" list.

Exclusive Prime pricing. This was a solid effort from the Temptations who had added new members Richard Street and Damon Harris in 1972. This serves as a tribute to the late Damon Harris who recently passed in February, 2013. The sound quality is very good for a download. It took me back to the 70's, when the Temptation s was starting with 2 new members, after Eddie Kendrick left the group. The song Superstar says it best.

The third album by Jack and Meg White was the right dynamite for a mainstream breakthrough. Jack’s Delta-roadhouse fantasies, Detroit-garage-rock razzle and busted-love lyricism, as well as Meg’s toy-thunder drumming all peaked at once. The stone-solid grooves on this underrated gem come courtesy of the Muscle Shoals rhythm section; the soulful guitar comes courtesy of Scaggs and guest Duane Allman. Together, they made Loan Me a Dime an FM-radio classic – more than 10 minutes of knockout blues pleading and wailing.

The name Steal This Album was a nod to beating the establishment, and was derived from Abbie Hoffman’s counterculture textbook, Steal This Book. Apart from alluding to the fans who downloaded unreleased demo songs leaked online a year prior to the album’s release, the title also refers to recurring motifs throughout the album’s tracks related to Fuck the System. However, the band has said that they don’t actually mind people downloading their music online, as long as it doesn’t happen before the official release. Steal This Album! Q&A.

Back to Bob, I found him more down to earth than most artists I have dealt with. With a limited number of "power chords" which make up modern rock music, it is almost impossible to no "steal" or borrow licks and certian melodies. There are no power chords in the intro of Werewolves of London.
