Joe Dolan and brother Ben set up their band The Drifters in their teens. With his incredible vocal range and his unique Mullingar mojo, Joe Dolan was one of the biggest musical icons of his day. And he blazed a trail for Irish acts across the water as the first Irishman to appear on hit music show Top of the Pops in 1969.
