DJ Hyper's Wired is a slow burner that's ineffective if you merely sample it. After opening disc one with the soulful "My House," Hyper spends a lot of time building up to Planet Funk's slamming "Who Said" and then follows it with some tight thump and pump. Disc two follows the same pattern, but this time the temperature is raised a little earlier with tracks that demand more attention.

Hyper released his debut album We Control in 2005, where incorporated live instrumentation such as guitars and bass and fused it with his newer electronic sound. The album led to a world tour, which included Japan's Fuji Rock festival, Denmark’s Roskilde to the UK's Glastonbury and almost everywhere in between. In 2009, Hyper released the single "Pitch Bitch" with JHz on Kilowatt Recordings. The song was used on the trailer Warner Brothers Film The Losers. Also in 2009, Hyper released a remix of German electronic musician Pet's song "Cloud Nine". 2006: Inthemix Is Six (Along with Bass Kleph).

This double CD is simply insane ! I love it almost as much as the first "Community Service" from The Crystal Method, my all time favorite breakbeat DJ mix. I tried their second one from 2005 but didn't like it at all.And then I learned about this artist called DJ Hyper who supported TCM during their "Legion Of Boom" tour, the same year when he released "Wired". Let me say that you absolutely have to puck up this double CD if you're a die hard breakbeat (or even electronic) fan.The second CD is the most remarkable in my opinion. The sounds are so unique and they bring a break between two breakbeat passages. That feels sublime for sure !My personal top tracks are "Shock Proof", "Necromancer", "Body Rok" (my number 1, it really got that WipEout touch), "Weatherman" and "In The Middle".Buy it for non-stop huge beats & breaks.
