The Ohio Players were nearly two decades removed from their biggest hits at the time this concert was recorded. In other words, they were past their peak. That doesn't necessarily mean they were washed up, and there are moments on this ten-track album that are infectiously funky and inspired, but overall the performances feel a little tired and perfunctory.
