Dexter Gordon's Both Sides of Midnight was recorded in the summer of 1967, but released in 1988, with the title taking branding advantage of Gordon's role in the full-length feature film 'Round Midnight. A group of American expatriates teamed with 21-year-old bass prodigy Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen yields almost an hour of excellent music from a club date at the venerable Montmartre Jazzhuis in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The Other Side of Round Midnight is an album by American jazz saxophonist Dexter Gordon recorded in 1985 and released on the Blue Note label. The album was recorded during the making of for Bertrand Tavernier's 1986 film Round Midnight which also produced the Academy Award-winning soundtrack album. The album features the last recordings released under Gordon's name (although he does not appear on all tracks) which were produced and arranged by Herbie Hancock.

Dexter Gordon's Both Sides of Midnight from Black Lion Records, remastered for the first time in decades by legendary engineer, Bernie Grundman. Recorded in the summer of 1967 at Montmartre Jazzhuis in Copenhagen, Denmark, Both Sides of Midnight is considered to be one of Dexter Gordon's best recorded performances. The title references Gordon's role in the full-length feature film, Round Midnight
