This article is a discography for American singer Bing Crosby. Since many radio stations in the US adopt a format change to Christmas music each December, many holiday hits have an annual spike in popularity during the last few weeks of the year and are retired once the season is over.
Bing Crosby was born Harry Lillis Crosby in Tacoma, Washington, on May 3, 1903. He had no birth certificate, and his real birthday was not disclosed until after his death. Bing’s next stop was the London Palladium for a two-week engagement. Then he and his band went to Brighton where they performed their final performance on October 10.
This album (Bing Crosby's "White Christmas") is a true Classic. My mother had the album on 78 rpm records. The original title was "Merry Christmas", and it consisted of only eight of the present twelve songs. "Silver Bells", "It's Beginning to Look Like Christmas", "Christmas in Killarney" and "Mele Kalikimaka" were not included; they were added later.
Album Good & Rare. La Vie En Rose Lyrics. Hold me close and hold me fast The magic spell you cast This is la vie en rose When you kiss me heaven sighs And though I close my eyes I see la vie en rose When you press me to your heart I'm in a world apart A world where roses bloom And when you speak Angels sing from above Everyday. Good & Rare Bing Crosby. 8. The Best Thing For You. 13. Ohio.
From Bing Crosby to Bob Dylan, Motown to Death Row, we rank the best Yuletide listens ever. Crosby's 1945 album Merry Christmas – expanded over the years with tracks from throughout the Forties and Fifties and reissued on CD as White Christmas in 1986 – has a distinct Irish-Catholic flavor thanks to the hymn "Faith of Our Fathers" and the jaunty "Christmas in Killarney.
Album: Miscellaneous. Though April showers may come your way They bring the flowers that bloom in May So if it's rainin' have no regrets Because it isn't rainin' rain, you know It's raining violets. And where you see clouds upon the hills You soon will see crowds of daffodils So keep on looking for a blue bird And listening for his song Whenever April showers come along. Crosby recorded a version of the song for release as a single with the Kim Darby Singers and the John Scott Trotter Orchestra on May 29, 1942 - a few months before the movie hit theaters. At the advice of Bing's record producer Jack Kapp, this original first verse was excised as it made no sense outside of the context of the film. Rosalie from Newark, DeI really love this Album by Bing Crosby.
