Al Martino (born Jasper Cini; October 7, 1927 – October 13, 2009) was an American singer and actor. He had his greatest success as a singer between the early 1950s and mid-1970s, being described as "one of the great Italian American pop crooners", and also became well known as an actor, particularly for his role as singer Johnny Fontane in The Godfather. Jasper "Al" Cini was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The name Jasper was an anglicisation of his father's name, Gasparino.

Spanish Eyes" was a 1966 hit single by Al Martino. The original song was an instrumental track named Moon Over Naples by Bert Kaempfert. Lyrics were added by composer Eddie Snyder and songwriter Charlie Singleton, and the title was changed to Spanish Eyes. Released in late 1965 in the United States, this recording reached on the Billboard Hot 100 and spent four weeks atop the Billboard Easy Listening chart in early 1966. It Might as Well Be Spring. Teardrops are falling from your Spanish eyes. Please please don't cry. This is just adios and not good-bye.
