The Partridge Family Album is the first studio album by The Partridge Family. It was released in October 1970 and included their first recording, "I Think I Love You". It has a picture of the whole family on the back and a small picture of David Cassidy and Shirley Jones. The album cover is made to look like an old-fashioned photo album. This lp included a Partridge Family plastic shopping bag with similar artwork as the cover! Releases came in a "Unipak" styled Gatefold Sleeve. The Partridge Family is an American musical sitcom starring Shirley Jones and featuring David Cassidy. Jones plays a widowed mother, and Cassidy plays the oldest of her five children who embark on a music career. It ran from September 25, 1970, until March 23, 1974, on the ABC network as part of a Friday-night lineup, and had subsequent runs in syndication. The family was loosely based on the real-life musical family the Cowsills, a popular band in the late 1960s and early 1970s.

Shopping Bag was one of my last PF album purchases as the group began to receive poor marketing and David Cassidy longed to move on from the group and the TV show. This recording is full of their classic sound, and the CD quality is next-to-vinyl, if not the same to some vinyl devotees. What can I say? David Cassidy was my first crush, and first live concert. I enjoy the Partridge Family music, but I love his later music.
