This CD features Little Richard singing gospel songs, obviously. It is a very disappointing album. The production values are next to nonexistent. Very minimal instrumental support, not very well played. As for Richard himself; he is not the over the top, exhuberant showman from his classic rock and roll songs. Instead, he sings in a restrained, rather boring style. Give this one a pass.

He attained international success after signing with Specialty Records in 1955. RCA Victor sessions: WGST Studio, Atlanta, October 16, 1951, and January 12, 1952. Peacock sessions: Houston, February 25 and October 5, 1953. Little Richard recorded the demonstration tape for Specialty at WBML Studio, Macon, on February 9, 1955.
