I'm in Love is the fourth album released by R&B singer Evelyn "Champagne" King on RCA Records in 1981. It was produced by Morrie Brown, Willie Lester, Rodney Brown, Kashif, and Lawrence Jones. By the time her previous album Call on Me was released, disco music in the United States faced severe backlash across the country pressuring it to move underground.

Shame (Evelyn "Champagne" King song). Redirected from Shame (Evelyn King song)). Shame" is a 1977 single recorded by American singer Evelyn "Champagne" King, written by John H. Fitch, Jr. and Reuben Cross, and released by RCA Records. It was released by RCA Records as part of King's debut album, Smooth Talk. The extended remix was produced for the twelve-inch vinyl single and would later replace the album version of the song in late-1970s reprints of the album.

Evelyn "Champagne" King ~ Shame 1977 Disco Purrfection Version. Evelyn Champagne King - I'll Keep A Light On (Full Album) (1995). Love Come Down- Evelyn Champagne King. Shame (12" Version). She originally recorded the song as a "new" track on the compilation album The Singles Collection, which was released only in France (not to be confused with the internationally released compilation The Singles Collection 1981-1993 three years prior to this). Wilde's version was released as a single in France and was remixed and released in the United Kingdom.

As originally issued on Evelyn "Champagne" King's 1977 RCA LP Smooth Talk, "Shame" was a different track than the one that became a million seller. Produced by T. Life and written by John Fitch and Reuben Cross, "Shame" started out with Sam Peake's sax blast. This prime version was more concise and had a more immediate punch.

Evelyn "Champagne" King's nickname is a variation of a nickname she had as a baby, Bubbles, because she blew spit bubbles. She was discovered at the age of 15 while singing in a washroom at Philadelphia International Records' recording base, Sigma Sound Studios, where she was helping out her mother who was a cleaning lady Between 1978 and 1985 she had eight Top 100 records; "Shame" was her debut record and biggest hit, her next highest charted record was "Love Come Down", it reached in 1982.
